How often should you have reflexology treatments?

For best results, a general recommendation might be to begin with one session a week for five weeks, after which a monthly follow-up session should be undertaken to retain the benefits.

Why might I feel ill after reflexology?

Reflexology aims to return the body to its natural state of wellbeing and balance, in part by eliminating toxins. After a treatment, it is possible you might feel tired, dizzy, nauseous, and/or shivery, and in rare cases even experience diarrhoea, as your body eliminates toxins. These are natural symptoms which will generally pass within 24 hours. Every individual reacts differently. Please do get in touch if you experience discomfort or are worried after your treatment.

What should I do after reflexology and massage?

It is important to rest after massage therapy and to drink plenty of water (1-2 litres) to help the body release toxins. It is best also to avoid alcohol for 24 hours after each session.
